Hazel Food Market in Lynnwood is the perfect place for a fun and relaxed Saturday morning. This market is popular among Pretorians for its authentic South African and international cuisines. There is a shaded casual seating area where you can enjoy your food and drinks, as well as a small children’s play area.

Pretoria Boeremark (🗺️)

  • Saturdays, 05:30 – 09:30
  • Free admission

This one’s for the early birds! The Pretoria Boeremark is an authentic farmers’ market in Silverton where you can shop for fresh produce, beautiful flowers, and delicious traditional Afrikaner food and snacks.

The popular market first started in the 90s and it requires its vendors to sell either agricultural or handmade products. Some people visit it to do their weekly grocery shopping and others go just to socialise over breakfast and coffee.

Market@theSheds (🗺️)

  • First Saturday of every month, 11:00 – 20:00
  • Admission is R80 before noon, R100 before 14:00, and R150 the rest of the day. Cyclists, Vespa riders, and children younger than 13 enter free of charge.

This artsy monthly market in central Pretoria is where the city’s culture comes alive. Here, you’ll always find interesting live entertainment, food, fashion, art vendors, and great vibes.

The market is described as highly social and the cocktails and cultural foods are fan favourites.

Busstop7 Open Air Market (🗺️)

  • Saturdays, 08:00 – 16:00
  • Sundays, 09:00 – 16:00
  • R25 admission fee

Busstop7 is a family-friendly market in the East of Pretoria with a lively atmosphere and lots to see and do. The market is ideal for craft and gift shopping as well as grabbing a bite to eat. You can expect live music performers, ample space for kids to play, a small petting zoo, and an overall fun time.

The food stalls include anything from Greek and Egyptian foods to the classic boerie roll and coffee stand. Don’t forget about mini doughnuts and churros!
