This event is best to attend for a laid-back Christmas music experience. The Pretoria Symphony Orchestra performs a Christmas setlist in Brooklyn Square annually. The orchestra usually sets up in the open area across from Starbucks. The best way to enjoy this experience is by reserving a table at your favourite restaurant in the square and enjoying dinner with a show.
Otherwise, entry is free of charge and attendees can stand close by and enjoy the music.
Christmas Carols at Irene Village Mall (🗺️)

Following a day of market shopping, crafts, and entertainment, Irene Village Mall hosts a sing-along Christmas carolling event. This event welcomes the whole family and provides festive entertainment in a unique Christmas setting.

Spar 2U Carols By Candlelight presented by Jacaranda FM has been at the top of Pretorians’ Christmas entertainment list for years. It takes place in the Sun Time Square Arena and boasts a lineup of celebrated voices in the South African music sphere. In 2024, Judith Sephuma, Corlea, Just6 and Demi-lee Moore are set to make their appearances alongside other renowned artists.
The proceeds of this event go toward Jacaranda FM’s Good Morning Angels initiative.
Festive Fever by Capital Singers (🗺️)

Of all Christmas Concerts in Pretoria, Capital Singers’ annual Christmas concert is probably the most inviting and community-driven. This year, the choir consists of almost 700 people and the only requirement to enrol was to have sung in a choir for 2 years previously in one’s life.
This highlight on the Christmas calendar perfectly encapsulates fun, festivity, and Christmas community.
Kersfees Konsert at Loftus Park (🗺️)

This event caters specifically to the Afrikaans crowd in Pretoria and was labelled by previous attendees as a must-attend over the festive season. The 2024 lineup includes Elandré, Willem Botha, Franja du Plessis, Tamlyn Wessels, and other Afrikaans artists singing Christmas songs.
This is another concert with a cause and while admission is free of charge, event organisers request non-perishable foods or gifts for men or women at entry.
