This recently opened flower farm is situated at The Big Red Barn in Irene and Pretorians have been raving about the flower picking experience since it opened. The establishment provides the opportunity for visitors to pick their own flowers at various price points, as well as a flower shop with bundles for sale. The farm grows hydrangeas and a variety of dahlias, which are unique blooms you cannot find at just any florist.

Looking for a more casual Valentine’s or Galentine’s date? This is the one for you. The Wild Café in Glen Village North Shopping Centre is hosting a themed cookie decorating class in collaboration with Dandan’s Cookies – and it’s budget-friendly, too!
The price includes a complimentary mimosa, cocktail, or glass of wine for each person. You will also get to keep your Cookie DIY box.
Valentine’s Sip and Paint at Sunny in Bloom (🗺️)

Couples, friends, or groups of up to 6 people can attend this all-inclusive event in Irene. The price includes welcome drinks, gourmet burgers, painting a mini canvas, a custom gift, snacks, dessert, and a photo booth for memories.
A photographer will also capture the evening and the event organisers will have table settings specific to couples and friends alike.
Kievits Kroon Valentine’s Day Offerings (🗺️)
Kievits Kroon is a wine estate and venue outside Pretoria where visitors can enjoy various luxury wine estate experiences. It has a few special Valentine’s Day offers to choose from this year, including:

Valentine’s Picnic and Movie at Monte de Dios (🗺️)

Monte de Dios is extending the romance by hosting Valentine’s events for two days after the 14th. On both days, The Idea of You will be screened, and tickets include attendance at the event as well as a picnic menu. Menus for the two days differ, but both include salads, sandwiches, nibbles, desserts, and movie snacks.
The Sunday movie menu is suited to the event’s daytime scheduling, as it is lighter and more summery. Saturday evening, however, provides classic dinner foods with a unique twist. The full menus are available via Monte de Dios’s Facebook and web pages.
Couple’s Cake Decorating Class at Leona’s Cakery (🗺️)

Nothing strengthens (or tests, if you know what I mean) a relationship like DIY-ing something together! You can decorate a heart-shaped chocolate and caramel cake with your loved one this Valentine’s Day at Leona’s Cakery in Hazelwood.
Payment includes a 15cm cake to decorate as a pair and one drink per person. You can choose your own Valentine’s schedule since this event is running for the entire week of Valentine’s Day.
